The Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Faisal Karim Kundi, visited National Emergencies Operation Center (NEOC) at NDMA Headquarters today.

Chairman NDMA welcomed the honourable guest and delivered a comprehensive briefing on Pakistan’s climate vulnerability landscape highlighting a range of threats including heatwaves, GLOF events, earthquakes, floods, droughts and growing water scarcity. He emphasized the pivotal role of the NEOC as a national coordination hub and encouraged the adoption of similar models at the provincial level.

Representatives from NDMA’s Wings provided detailed briefings, further strengthening the understanding of Pakistan’s preparedness framework and the impact-based outlook for the next three months, particularly in relation to the upcoming Monsoon season.

Governor Faisal Karim Kundi commended National Emergencies Operation Center (NEOC) for its vital role in strengthening Pakistan’s disaster preparedness and response framework. He emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts in tackling climate-induced challenges and ensuring the safety and resilience of communities across the country. His visit reaffirmed the commitment to enhance national and provincial coordination in disaster management.
