Chairman NDMA, Lt Gen Inam Haider Malik, delivered a keynote address at Welthungerhilfe Pakistan’s commemorative event: “2005–2025 | Building a Resilient Pakistan".
 
He outlined Pakistan’s proactive disaster management framework, emphasizing anticipatory planning, community-level preparedness, and technology-driven risk reduction, which are critical pillars for addressing the potential hazards of 2026 and beyond.
 
The Chairman also highlighted the capabilities of NDMA’s National Emergencies Operation Center (NEOC), which integrates real-time satellite monitoring, predictive analytics, and mobile response coordination to enable early warning, strategic planning and rapid emergency response.
 
He commended Welthungerhilfe Pakistan and humanitarian partners for their pivotal role in strengthening early disaster response and preparedness, contributing to a more resilient Pakistan in the face of natural calamities and emergencies.
