NIDM, the NDMA’s think tank and University of Baltistan Skardu (UOBS), join hands through a Letter of Agreement. This collaboration will drive research, knowledge sharing, and capacity building tailored to the unique needs of Pakistan’s mountain regions - some of the most climate sensitive areas of the world.
 
The LoA was signed by Prof. Dr. Abdul Matin, Vice Chancellor UOBS, and Mr. Tanveer Piracha, Executive Director NIDM. Prof. Dr. Ashfaque Ahmad Shah, Dean Faculty of Education Humanities and Social Sciences was also present at the occasion.
 
The Vince Chancellor was later took a tour of NDMA’s National Emergencies Operation Centre (NEOC) and the Centre of Excellence on Climate Change and Disaster Management (CoE-C2DM). UOBS requested NIDM to entertain their students in internship programs at NEOC and NDMA HQ, for their professional growth and hands-on learning regarding Disaster resilience.
