The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) welcomed Mr. Louis Dorval, COO & Co-Founder of Viamo; Mr. Osman Anwar, Country Director Pakistan – Asia & MENA Partnerships; Mr. Kaiyan Yousaf, Deputy Director Global Partnerships; and Mr. Dhimas Puntranto, Global Platform Manager for a strategic meeting at NDMA Headquarters.

During the visit, the delegation was provided a comprehensive briefing at the National Emergencies Operation Centre (NEOC), where NDMA’s advanced technological infrastructure for real-time hazard monitoring, inter-agency coordination, and nationwide dissemination of early warnings was showcased.

The meeting focused on Viamo’s latest advancements in Generative AI (GenAI) and explored avenues for integrating NDMA’s official alerts into Viamo’s GenAI-powered hotline platforms. The proposed integration aims to enhance last-mile connectivity, broaden outreach, and ensure timely dissemination of life-saving information to communities across Pakistan, particularly in vulnerable and high-risk areas.

The engagement reflects NDMA’s continued commitment to leveraging emerging technologies, fostering strategic partnerships, and strengthening a digitally enabled, anticipatory disaster risk management framework in Pakistan.
