During the meeting, the Prime Minister was briefed on the ongoing relief activities for the victims of recent rains and floods across the country, as well as preparations for any potential emergencies.

The Prime Minister was also briefed on the progress made, under his directives, to make the early warning system fully functional in Gilgit-Baltistan and to strengthen cooperation with the Ministry of Climate Change in this regard.

The Prime Minister instructed NDMA to further enhance coordination with provinces in providing assistance and rehabilitation for those affected by the recent rains and floods.

The Prime Minister also directed that people living in vulnerable areas be provided with timely early warnings in view of weather conditions and possible emergencies.
