A delegation from the Russian Federation, led by H.E. Mr. Yuri Gorlach, Director, Center of Crisis Management (Department), Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), visited the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) Headquarters on 19 February 2026. The delegation also included H.E. Mr. Boris Burmistrov, Deputy Director, Second Asian Department, MOFA; H.E. Mr. Albert Khorev, Ambassador of the Russian Federation; and Mr. Anton Vereshchagin, Third Secretary and Head of the Bilateral Section, Embassy of the Russian Federation.

The visit focused on exploring avenues to enhance cooperation at both bilateral and multilateral levels in the field of disaster management. Discussions emphasized strengthening collaboration through information and experience exchange, capacity-building initiatives, and joint exercises. The proposal to establish a network of regional logistics hubs was also deliberated as a means to reinforce coordinated global efforts in disaster preparedness, response, and prevention.
