NDMA had the privilege of welcoming renowned cricketer & philanthropist Shahid Afridi to the Disaster Early Warning Tech Expo 2025. He was cordially received by NDMA Chairman, Lieutenant General Inam Haider Malik and NDMA team. Mr. Afridi’s visit brought enthusiasm and inspiration to the event, as he engaged with young people working at Expo. 
During his visit to the National Emergencies Operation Centre (NEOC), Mr. Afridi received a comprehensive briefing on NDMA’s state-of-the-art monitoring and emergency response capabilities. He was briefed on various technology exhibits, interacting with developers and emerging innovators who showcased forward-looking disaster management solutions. At NDMA's Center of Excellence (CoE), he was introduced to NDMA’s initiatives in training, research and capacity building aimed at strengthening national resilience. Mr. Afridi also attended a dedicated Tech Women Session, where he acknowledged and appreciated the pivotal role of women in driving innovation, technology, and resilience in disaster management. 
Mr. Afridi extends his sincere appreciation to NDMA’s team and Pakistan's first ever Disaster Early Warning Tech Expo (DEWTE). His support reinforces the Authority’s commitment to fostering a safer, more resilient Pakistan.
