The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) had the honor of welcoming Ms. Anita Hirsch, Country Director, United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) Pakistan, to NDMA Headquarters.
The visit provided an opportunity for constructive discussions on strengthening collaboration in disaster risk management, anticipatory action, emergency preparedness, and humanitarian response. Both sides reaffirmed their shared commitment to enhancing resilience through innovation, early warning systems, and coordinated efforts to safeguard vulnerable communities across Pakistan.
The delegation also received a comprehensive briefing on NDMA's National Emergencies Operation Center (NEOC), its state-of-the-art multi-hazard monitoring and early warning capabilities, and ongoing initiatives aimed at improving disaster preparedness and response through technology-driven solutions.
NDMA values its continued partnership with WFP and looks forward to further strengthening cooperation in building a safer and more resilient Pakistan.
