National Disaster Management Authority has formalized a Letter of Agreement (LoA) with the Pakistan Science Foundation (PSF) to strengthen collaboration in disaster management research, scientific innovation, knowledge exchange and capacity building. The strategic partnership aims to promote research-based solutions, scientific studies and technological approaches for addressing Pakistan’s evolving disaster and climate-related risks. This collaboration provides a framework for joint research initiatives, and scientific knowledge-sharing, technical reports and capacity-building programmes, with a focus on translating scientific knowledge and innovation into practical disaster risk reduction and resilience solutions.

Following the signing, both institutions reaffirmed their commitment to fostering stronger linkages between science, research and disaster management, while exploring opportunities for joint programmes, research dissemination and collaboration with academia and relevant scientific institutions.
