On the instructions of the Prime Minister, the 13th meeting of the Emergency Response Committee was held at the National Disaster Management Authority.

The monsoon situation across the country, water flow in rivers and the state of dams, as well as weather forecasts, preparations, and a coordinated response were reviewed.

Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives, Professor Ahsan Iqbal, presided over the meeting via video link.

The meeting was attended by federal ministers, the Chairman of the NDMA, as well as representatives of PDMAs, the Meteorological Department, and relevant federal institutions.

Provincial officials provided updates regarding rescue resources, emergency stockpiles, evacuation plans, coordination with district administrations, and preparations in affected districts.

The meeting emphasized the issuance of timely warnings, the advance availability of relief resources, maintaining uninterrupted communication systems, and ensuring the full preparedness of all response agencies.
